Buying a piece of land and building a house on it is a dream for many of us. As we have witnessed that the modern lifestyle has revolutionalized the concept of community living. Everybody needs a house at an affordable cost in a peaceful locality with a pleasant and secure environment. Recognizing this human need Late Raees Amrohvi, Professor Bazm Ansari and other prominent poets and scholars felt the housing needs of middle class and lower-middle-class people of Karachi, especially the people migrated from India in 1947, who did not have shelters for their families. Raees Amrohvi and his other companion scholars got registered a Housing Society in Name and Title of KAGHAN COOPERATIVE HOUSING SOCIETY LTD. After many efforts, they succeeded in getting a 30 Acre of land from Board of Revenue Government of Sindh located in Sector 20-A KDA Scheme 33 as Phase-I.

Kaghan Cooperative Society Ltd was registered in 1970 under Cooperative Societies Act 1925 with the Registration number K-680.

The continuous efforts of ex Management of Society the society was also allotted and leased out 12  Acres of Land by the Board of Revenue, Government of Sindh in N.C. 114, DehTaiser, Karachi in the year 2007., which is now known as Phase 2 of our society.

Kaghan Co-Operative Housing Society Ltd (KCHSL) is one the oldest society in Scheme 33, Karachi but unfortunately, the society was under the control of  Sindh Government Appointed Administrators in the period of December 2012 to December 2018.

The election of the society has been conducted by the learned Nazir of the Sindh High Court on 2 December 2018 and the newly elected management has taken over the charge and control of the society. Now the newly elected management is trying to overcome all pending issues assure members to make KCHSL as one of the model society in Karachi.

The whole KCHSL management is looking after all pending issues such as NOCs from different government departments, development works & related maintenance requirements, record keeping of all members, transfer of plots, changes in  Bye-laws and financial management of its two phases.

 

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

  • A Co-Operative Society where housing ownership is safe and affordable to people of all income levels, races, ages, and suitable for their various needs.
  • Facilitate members with essential civic facilities i.e. Health, Education & Entertainment.
